College of Agriculture and Natural resource was launched in 2000 E.C. the college was established to provide quality education in the fields of agriculture and natural resource. Since agriculture is the leading economic sector in Ethiopia. Investment on producing competent and skilled human power in the sector is crucial. Wollega University has launched five different programmes in 2000 E.C. under College of Agriculture and Natural Resource. These programmes are namely:

• Animal Science
• Natural Resource Management
• Plant Science
• Soil and Watershed management
• Water Resource Irrigation Management.

In addition, currently these disciplines are also opened at shambu campus with two other disciplines: Food science and nutrition and Agricultural resource Economics and management. Our college will have high and significant contribution in academic, research and community development activities in southwestern Ethiopia.
